At Mthimkhulu Victim Empowerment Project, we provide a range of services to support victims of domestic abuse and their families. Our goal is to offer holistic care that includes emotional, educational, and community-based support to empower those affected and help them rebuild their lives.
Counseling & Emotional Support
We provide individual and group counseling to help victims of domestic abuse process their experiences and regain emotional stability. Our trained professionals offer a safe, confidential space for healing.
Education & Empowerment Programs
Our empowerment programs focus on equipping victims with skills and knowledge to help them overcome challenges and build a future of independence and confidence.
Debriefing & Trauma Support
We offer debriefing sessions for victims who need immediate support after a traumatic event, helping them manage shock and stress while offering a path forward.
Home & School Visits
Our team conducts home and school visits to monitor the well-being of victims, ensuring they are receiving the necessary support and offering assistance where needed.
Referral Services
We work closely with the Department of Health, Department of Safety, and Social Services to ensure victims receive additional help, including legal and medical support.
Community Engagement & Campaigns
We actively engage with the community to raise awareness about domestic abuse, organizing campaigns and events to promote a culture of safety and care.
Follow-ups & Continuous Support
Our team maintains regular follow-ups with victims to monitor their progress and provide continuous support, ensuring they are not alone on their journey to healing.
